Abide-A-While Garden Center is a 50 year old, family business situated on 5 acres in the heart of the lowcountry. We invite you to walk the paths through our nursery and enjoy the serene beauty of the majestic live oaks while shopping our extensive plant selection both outdoors and inside our modern greenhouses. While here, you may notice a “corral” around one of our large live oaks, we are currently working with Bartlett Tree Experts to improve its health and vigor.

New this spring is our expanded fruit area: choose from limes, lemons, figs, grapes, blackberries, pears, pomegranates, and persimmons. Growing plants which produce fruit is a great activity to share with children!

Got deer? Visit our “deer resistant” displays. We can offer suggestions with flowering perennials and shrubs!

Are you looking to add more color to your garden? We have huge hanging baskets, container gardens and great color in all departments! Throughout the garden center you will find many inspiring ideas. We are here to help.

Gardening in the lowcountry can be a fun and relaxing activity for everyone regardless of age. I meet so many people in our garden center commenting about how beautiful everything is. Some are tourists who are glad to be in a warm climate, most are locals coming to see what new plants we have, and others are new transplants who have lots of questions about gardening with clay soil, beach sand, or how to deal with deer.
